At W.E.C.A.R.E., our mission is to bring the citizens of our communities closer together to help battle the offset of jobs and budget cuts in our educational system. W.E.C.A.R.E. was developed as a tangible way for our communities as a whole to stand behind our public school K through twelfth grade teachers and students.
W.E.C.A.R.E. will focus our main attention on offsetting the budget cuts on our teachers, one of our most neglected assets. Our history and research agrees that the resplendent ideas of our teachers are needed in today’s educational environments. Our smart and idealistic young students are rising rapidly in our school systems, eagerly ready to express their talents.
The first phase of W.E.C.A.R.E.’s goals is to meet the needs of our nation’s teachers by empowering their personal and professional growth. This will help with the wealth of knowledge and innovation that is needed now more than ever to strengthen our ailing communities. W.E.C.A.R.E. will work with public school K through twelfth grade educators in districts across our great nation to help develop, assess, and use knowledge needed for students to engage in a systematic and sustainable improvement process.
W.E.C.A.R.E.’s second phase will create an internship program at our offices for high school students to learn about the importance of being a positive influence in their communities along with financial literacy.
W.E.C.A.R.E’s third phase will offer scholarship programs which will help create a future in which all of our students will learn at higher levels and where race, class, language, gender and culture are no longer predictors of their educational outcomes.
