EarthAction’s mission is to inform and inspire people everywhere to turn their concern, passion and outrage into meaningful action for a more just, peaceful and sustainable world.

EarthAction, launched in 1992 at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, brings organizations and individuals together throughout the world in collaborative campaigns to create a sustainable future. Working together for over 18 years we have saved several rainforests,

protected the rights of child laborers, brought education to girls, prevented desertification, and much, much more.

We are planning a campaign in 2010 to bring organizations together in preparation for the Rio+20 global gathering to be held in Rio de Janeiro in 2012 on the 20th anniversary of the Earth Summit. Join EarthAction (it’s free for organizations) and you will receive our next Action Kit about Rio+20.
